I Feel So Alone...

Tuesday, March 29, 2011

When you struggle, as we all do down life's rocky road, remember the safest place to be is in the will of God. You may need to constantly remind yourself to:

"LET GO AND LET GOD!"

Our desire to be Lord over our lives is in direct conflict with our Heavenly Father's will. You were never meant to carry your burdens alone. God sent our Savior, Jesus Christ, to show us by example, to teach us how to turn to our Father during those painful, seemingly impossible times.

Jesus cried out to His Father in the Garden of Gethsemane. He was in agony and needed His Fathers strength. Be sure to read Luke 22:39-46, to get a deeper understanding of the importance of prayer in your life.

If Jesus, being perfect still needed to turn to His Father, don't you think that we should follow His example?

We are far from perfect, we're incapable of knowing the Lord's ultimate will for our lives. We have tunnel vision...blinders on. We see only our immediate circumstances. We don't see the entire picture from the Lord, our Creator's view. Put your Hope, Trust and Faith in Him today, YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

"LET GO AND LET GOD!"

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalms 46:10

He's the only one who knows the plans He has for you, "plans to give you hope and a future."

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart, declares the Lord." Jeremiah 29:11

"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

"But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Jesus Christ."

"I am NOT Alone!!!"

There's Life in the Word

There's Life in the Word

And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure (of thought and study) you give (to the truth you hear) will be the measure (of virtue and knowledge) that comes back to you and more will be given to you who hear.
~ Mark 4:24 ~

This is like the principle of sowing and reaping. The more we sow, the more we will reap at harvest time. The Lord is saying in Mark 4:24 that the greater the amount of time you and I personally put into thinking about and studying the Word we hear, the more we will get out of it.

"Things are hidden temporarily only as a means to revelation." For there is nothing hidden except to be revealed, nor is anything (temporarily) kept secret except in order that it may be made known ~Mark 4:22~.

This verse and the one above are surely telling us that the Word has hidden in it tremendous treasures, powerful life...giving secrets that God wants to reveal to us. They are manifested to those who meditate on, ponder, study, think about, practice mentally, and mutter the Word of God. I'm learning the importance of this principle. It seems there is no end to what God can show me out of one verse of Scripture. I will study it one time and get one thing, and another time see something new that I did not even notice before.

The Lord keeps revealing His secrets to those who are diligent about the Word. Don't be the kind of person who always wants to live off of someone else's revelation. Study the Word yourself and allow the Holy Spirit to bless your life with truth.

Indeed...it's a New Day!

Today...

Today is the day of the rest of my life! Not knowing exactly what to write, but I must begin somewhere. I have a sadness that I've never identified with before, yet it brings me such peace. How can I feel such a thing in all the hurt???
I have no idea where this will take you...I pray that it will bring me joy with a true purpose on life.

Perfection and Purpose

Thursday, August 12, 2010

If perfection is the fulfillment of one's being, or purpose, then evil, or imperfection is the failure to fulfill such a purpose. Evil is considered to be a corruption of being, of the good.

It can be argued that God is perfect because God is 'being itself' and God is the one being incapable of this corruption, incabale f tending towards nom-being.

So I think God is perfect not because He has a particular purpose to fulfill, but because His existence cannot be corrupted like ours can, He is infinitely perfect.

However, a problem for me arises when God commtis an action. There can be no concept of perfection prior to God, so God's action mustn't adhere to perfection, it must define perfection. However, a perfect action stems from a perfect will, but how can a perfect will exists if there is no prior concept of perfection?

From what I understand, the response to this is that 'God is act', meaning that there is no distinction between God's act and will. God is changless, there is no movement from thought to act, no movement from potentiality to actuality, they are one.

Common People with Uncommon Goals

Tuesday, July 27, 2010

I am just a common, ordinary person with a goal and a vision. But just because I am common and ordinary does not mean that I am content to be average. I don't like that word. I don't want to be average. I don't intend to be average. I don't serve an average God, therefore, I don't believe I have to be average and neither do you.

Average is basically OK. It is not bad, but it is also not excellent. It is just good enough to get by, and I don't think that is what God wants us to be. I believe that any common, ordinary, everyday person can be mightily used by God. I believe that we can do great and mighty things, things that will amaze even us, if we believe that God can use us and if we will be daring enough to have an uncommon goal and vision. And what I mean by uncommon is something that doesn't make sense to the mind. We have to believe God for it.

God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond all that we could dare to hope, ask, or think, according to His great power that is at work in us. God does it through us according to His power, but it is done through us, so we have to cooperate. That means we need to be daring in our faith and in our prayers. Some of us are not believing for enough. We need to stretch our faith into new realms. We need to be uncommon people with uncommon goals.
